Cheng, Yuxin is an associate professor in the School of Eletronics, Peking University. He received the B.S. in Electronics Engineering from Shenyang Aerospace University in 1997, the M.S. in Electronics Engineering from Tianjin University in 2000, and the Ph.D. in Electronics Engineering from Peking University in 2005 respectively. His research interests include coding theory in wireless communications, network and terminal technologies in satellite communications.

Dr. Cheng has published dozens research papers, and most of them are published in international conferences and journals, such as Signal Processing, IEEE Comm Letters, VTC, ICSP and AIAA ICSSC. He also have several patent about satellite communications technologies.

Dr. Cheng has attended more several research projects including NSFC, 863 project, etc. His research achievements are mainly about the satellite communication technologies. One major research area is about the architecture and the physical layer technology of multi-beam mobile satellite communications, according to the characteristics of satellite system and new methods in territorial mobile communications systems, he proposed some technologies to establish broadband mobile satellite communication system which can be compatible with state of art and future territorial mobile satellite communication systems. Another area is the MAC layer realization technologies in fixed satellite communication system. The proposed protocol and technologies has be used in real satellite systems.
