Sun, Wentao is an associate professor in the School of Electronics, Peking University. She obtained her B.Sc. from Central South University in 1999, and Ph.D. from University of Technology and Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, CAS in 2005, respectively. Then she was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Peking University from 2005 to 2008. In 2008, she joined Department of Electronics as an assistant professor. Dr. Sun’s current research interests include nanomaterial synthesis and nanoenergy devices.

Dr. Sun has published more than 20 research papers, and most of them are published in the journals of American Chemistry Society, Royal Society of Chemistry and American Institute of Physics, such as JACS, ACS AMI, JPCC, ChemComm, and APL. These papers were cited more than 800 times by other researchers, among which 2 papers are highly cited (Top 1% ).

Dr. Sun has led /participated 7 research projects including NSFC, 973 programs, 863 project, etc. She also has applied 5 patents. Her research achievements are summarized as follows:

1) Fabricating CdS/CdSe/CdTe-sensitized TiO2nanotube photoelectrodes and investigated the corresponding performances

2) Fabricating and optimizing DSSCs with various nanostructure TiO2

3) Fabricating and optimizing TCO-free hybrid perovskite solar cells and investigating the interfaces

4) Developing and exploring new application of hybrid perovskite materials as photodetectors

5) Developing and exploring new application of hybrid perovskite materials as anode material in Li-ion battery
