Shang, Yong is an associate professor from Institute of Advanced Communications, School of Electronics, Peking University. Dr. Shang received his master's degree of signal processing in 1997 and doctor's degree of signal processing in 2000 both from Xidian University. He engaged in postdoctoral research work in Peking University from 2000 to 2002. Then he worked there as associate professor from 2002 to the present. In recent years, Dr. Shang has finished multiple projects as project leader, sponsored by 863 Program, NSFC, National Science and Technology Major Project of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, etc. Dr. Shang has published more than 40 academic papers on related academic journals and international conferences. He has also obtained more than ten patent licenses.

Dr. Shang's research interests mainly focus on the following aspects:

- Spatial signal processing, including MIMO technology, space-time signal processing technology, large-scale antenna array technology, etc.

- High-speed signal processing, including high-speed parallel adaptive filtering theory, adaptive filter structure design, adaptive pipeline algorithm, etc.

- Communications signal processing, including 5G technology, information safety technology of future complex heterogeneous network, resource optimization and sharing technology, etc.

Dr. Shang Yong has obtained the following research achievements:

1. Communication security in complex network (such as heterogeneous cellular network). Dr. Shang analyzed communication security concepts, models and evaluation criteria in complex network, and introduced physical layer security technologies into the systems. He designed multiple physical layer security improvement strategies, which applied physical network coding, game theory and graphic theory. He also proposed some schemes using resource reuse and power optimization, meanwhile maintaining secure signal transmission.

2. High-speed signal processing. There exist some problems with adaptive filtering and spatial signal processing algorithms in high-speed environment. Dr. Shang proposed parallel delay LMS algorithm, parallel pipeline LMS algorithm, etc. By applying parallel processing and pipeline processing technologies into traditional signal processing algorithms, the problems are solved.

3. Antenna receiving technology of large-scale array for deep-space communication. Dr. Shang proposed array signal receiving technology based on diagonal variable loading thought, which can effectively relieve the conflict between steady state performance and convergence rate. Furthermore, He proved that SUMPLEalgorithm and Matrix-free algorithm are special cases when diagonal loading factors take specific values.

4. Anti-jamming satellite system design and simulation. Dr. Shang researched time-frequency double expansion satellite communication system, and proposed corresponding architecture and signal transceiver schemes. He also designed anti-jamming technologies, realizing effective receiving of low SNR satellite signal when there exists interference.
