Zhu,Bocheng is a professor in the School of Electronics at PKU. He obtained bachelor of engineering degree in 1986 and master of engineering degree in 1993, respectively, from the National University of Defense Technology, China. He received Ph. D. degree from Beijing Institute of Technology in 1996. He joined Peking University as a faculty member after postdoctoral fellowship from 1997 to 2001. His research interests include satellite navigation and wireless communications.

Prof. Zhu has published more than 90 research papers in top-tier conferences and journals and applied a dozen of Chinese patents. He has severed as member of expert committees in the National High Tech Research and development program, National Science and Technology Major Project, as well as GNSS & LBS Association of China. He was honored with the Yang-Wang Scholar Award of Peking University in 2007.

Prof. Zhu has undertaken a series of important research projects. His research achievements include:

1. Satellite Navigation: The major research includes the technology of ultra-high dynamic navigation receiver, multiple system interoperability receiver technology of ultra-high dynamic GNSS system, high-dynamic GNSS & INS integrated navigation, and receiver SoC design. His research achieves a series of breakthroughs in core technologies, such as the fast synchronization of ultra-high dynamic signal, the long code direct acquisition of ultra-high dynamic signal, and the deep coupling of BDS/INS systems, which can support the applications of high dynamic carrier under satellite navigation & guidance.

2. Wireless Communications: The major research is the integrated communications & data broadcasting technology based on near space aerostat, including system architecture, systematic methodology, transmission protocol, multi-user network protocol and integrated terminal technology of integrated communication & broadcasting systems. The proposed system is of strong mobility, good control flexibility and quick response ability. This system can provide data, voice, and image transmission services for civilian applications in mountain and forest areas. It can be easily deployed in areas with natural disasters to provide emergency communication and data service for situation reports and organizing rescues.
